Our Bowls Club was founded in 1949 as the Laing Sports Club Bowls Section. Laing sold the Sports Club in 2002 and in 2003 we changed our name to the Rowley Lane Bowls Club. We are situated in Rowley Lane, Arkley in the Maccabi Sports Ground and are just off the A1 near Borehamwood. Official address Rowley Lane, Arkley, Barnet, EN5 3HW.
The attached photo shows some of our members enjoying a 'coaching day' on the 18th June 2012. This very successful day was run for us by the Hertfordshire Coaching Society.
We have 60 members and are always delighted to welcome new members. We run a free coaching course of 4 2-hour sessions run by a fully qualified coach. We have a very popular club night every Tuesday. We have a full fixture list including mid-week games.
